General Questions

Do you buy all collections you're offered?

For the Brands listed under "Brands We're Buying" we buy most collections. For each collection we evaluate our costs to buy and resell the items and compare it to our estimated revenue from reselling. If we're unable to resell your collection at a profit, we will not be able to buy it.

Factors ranging from collection size to resale prices, to current inventory, to your location all impact our ability to purchase. If you're interested in selling, we encourage you to reach out!

Do you have any tips or tricks for a smooth selling experience?

Oh, this is such a great question, I’m SO glad you asked!! 😉 I’ve got 3 big tips for you:
1. Please, please read our website carefully. There’s so much helpful information, and nothing is worse than an unexpected surprise in the selling process. I promise to be up front and fair. All our policies are clearly stated, so please read carefully before selling.
2. If your selling individually priced items (as opposed to bulk or variable pricing), fill your shipping box as you create your order. If you pack your box as you add items to your cart, you’ll know exactly what will fit in the box and you won’t be trying to “Tetris” the box later.
3. Lastly pack your box carefully! We can’t purchase damaged or broken items, so be sure to read our packing tips page and use plenty of padding for fragile items.

I have multiples of the same item will you buy all of them?

It depends. We love purchasing large collections, however our prices are determined by our current inventory, supply, and demand. Thus, if you have a lot of the same item, we may need to adjust our buy price or may not be able to purchase your full collection. Here’s a few guidelines:

  • If you have 2- 3 of an item, we’ll likely be able to purchase them all at the posted buy price.
  • If our buy price is $5 or less, and you have a dozen or less, chances are good we can purchase everything at the posted price.
  • If you have questions or want to know if we can purchase multiples of an identical item feel free to contact us. Otherwise, just create an order and we’ll contact you if we need to make an adjustment.
I have items that are not on your website, should I send them?

We are only purchasing the following brands.

If you have other brands or items we will not be able to purchase them.

Please note: Due to the volume of requests we receive, we cannot quote your collection beyond the prices currently on our site.

What kind of timeline should I expect?

Once you place your order, we’ll email to confirm in 1-3 business days (Please note we’re closed on weekends). After we confirm, you’ll have 14 days to ship your box. Because collectible prices are always changing, our buy prices may change if your order is not sent within 14 days. Once your collection is received, we’ll process it and contact you within 7 days. After you confirm we'll issue payment.

One important note. We do not process collections in November or December. If your collection is received after October 31st, it will not be processed until January. These are our busiest months, and it’s all hands on deck shipping orders for the Holidays. You can still process your order and send a collection. We’ll begin processing collections again the first week of January, but catching up may take a few weeks.

What happens if my items can’t be purchased?

If anything in your collection doesn’t meet our condition requirements, we’ll contact you by email with any price adjustments we need to make. If you choose not to sell those items, we can ship them back after we receive reimbursement for labels we purchased and payment for return shipping. Due to space limitations, we can only hold items for 4 weeks after we contact you with adjustment details. Any items left after 4 weeks will be disposed of.

Put simply you can get your items back, but there is a cost, so please, please, read condition requirements carefully. If your item does not match those conditions, please don’t send it.

Please note any returned orders will be packed carefully, however we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

My Beanie Babies have misspellings on their tags or other errors. Will you pay more for them?

I’m afraid this is one of those cases where not everything you read on the internet is true. Nearly all misspellings, misprints and errors were produced by the millions. Because most errors are not rare, we do not pay extra for them. While there are no Beanie Baby spelling errors we pay extra for, there are a few mistakes, such as the wingless quackers, or the royal blue peanut which we’ll pay extra for. In all these cases, the item has a unique listing and buy price. If you don't see your mistake, we're not paying extra for it.

Individually Priced Items

How does this work?

We’ve worked hard to make our buying process as simple as possible! There’s really just 3 steps
1. Add the items in your collection to your cart. Please process one order per box you plan to ship (this is so important, otherwise there may be a delay processing your collection!) Each item has a posted buying price, and the cart total is the amount we can pay for your collection.

2. Ship us your collection. If your order qualifies, we’ll even pay for the shipping 😊

3. We’ll process your collection within 7 days of receiving it and contact you. Once you confirm we’ll send your payment – Easy-Peasy!

I have items that are not on your website, should I send them?

We have thousands of items with listed buy prices, but I’m still adding more. If your item is one of the brands we’re actively buying, we probably want it.

  • Ty products – Please review which Ty product lines we buy and our flat pricing here. If it’s on the list, we’ll pay our flat rate pricing. If you have a licensed character or piece, we would love to buy it and can likely pay extra.
  • Barbies – If your Barbie is dated for example the 1997 Graduation Barbie, we are unable to purchase it. All other Barbies will be purchased using our flat rate pricing which you can review here.
I don’t want to itemize my collection. What should I do?

I get it, you're busy and looking up each item takes time. To make things easier, we offer flat rate pricing that varies by brand. Click here to see our flat rate pricing.

Who pays for Shipping?

Great news, qualifying for one prepaid label is simple with individually priced orders. Simply ensure your order is over $35 🤩 In order to keep our shipping expenses down (and keep our buy prices higher!) qualifying for a second label has different guidelines.

Beanie Babies & Disney Plush:

  • To qualify for multiple labels, please ship in 18x18x16 boxes. Each box should hold 140-160 pieces.

Barbies:

  • 12+ full size dolls = 1 Label
  • To qualify for multiple labels, please ship in 18x18x24 boxes. Ensure each box fits as many Barbies as possible. Due to the various sizes of Barbies, each box should hold 12-25 Barbies.

Please note: If you place multiple orders, you will be required to combine them per the guidelines above in order to receive multiple labels.

What if my order does not fit in one box?

No problem! If you have a large collection, you can always place a second order for a second box. For these large collections, please use the following sized boxes:

  • Beanie Babies: 18"x18"x16"
  • Barbies: 18"x18"x24"

I always recommend packing your box as you fill your cart to save yourself from an epic, yet frustrating, game of Tetris later. When your box gets full, just checkout and start a new order while you fill your second box. Please only place one order per box or there may be a delay in processing your collection.

Bulk & Variable Pricing

What is Variable Pricing?

For some items & brands we don't have established buy prices. In this case we use variable pricing to buy your collection. We have a whole page dedicated to how this process works here.

If you see our buy price listed for your item or brand, then variable pricing is not applicable for your collection.

What is Bulk Pricing?

Bulk pricing is the fastest and easiest way to sell your collection. If you don't want to look up each item in your collection, simply place a bulk order. You can ship your entire collection and we'll pay a set price per piece.

For some brands, (Hallmark, Disney Plush, Department 56) we only buy with bulk prices. You can check out our bulk pricing by brand here.

Who Pays for Shipping?

Great news, most bulk and variable pricing orders qualify for prepaid shipping labels 🤩

We'll determine if you qualify based on, which brands you are selling, how many items you have, their resale value, our current inventory, where you are located (the further away you are the more we'll have to pay in shipping), and how much time it'll take us to create listings for your collection.

With so many variables involved, there's no easy rule on how to qualify. Please see the "How do I qualify for prepaid labels? question below for general guidelines.

How do I qualify for Prepaid shipping labels?

With so many variables involved, there's no easy rule on how to qualify. Below are a few general guidelines, but please be aware that each order will be different. If you live in the Midwest, the quantity needed may be lower than listed. If in doubt place an order and we'll let you know :)

Beanie Babies & Disney Plush:

  • 90+ Pieces = 1 Label
  • To qualify for multiple labels, please ship in 18x18x16 boxes. Each box should hold 130-150 pieces.

Hallmark Ornaments:

  • 60+ Pieces = 1 Label
  • To qualify for multiple labels, please ship in 18x18x24 boxes. Each box should hold 120-150 pieces.

Barbies:

  • 12+ full size dolls = 1 Label
  • To qualify for multiple labels, please ship in 18x18x24 boxes. Each box should hold 12-25 Barbies.

Department 56 Buildings:

  • 10+ Buildings = 1 Label
  • Shipping costs make it difficult to qualify for labels. (Each label costs us $60-$90 and each building will cost us $12-$16 to ship when it’s resold.) We do offer self-shipping and drop off bonuses for Department 56 pieces. Check them out here.

All items sold with Variable Pricing: Because resale values and shipping costs vary so widely, we’ll need to know what you're sending to determine if you qualify for prepaid shipping labels. Place an order and we’ll let you know if you qualify for prepaid labels :)

What if my order does not fit in one box?

Not a problem! If you're looking to sell your collection with our Bulk or Variable Pricing methods, you'll only need to place one order, regardless of how many boxes you plan to ship.

Once we know what items and how many of each you plan to ship, we'll let you know how many labels you qualify for :)

Shipping FAQs

How should I pack my order?

Proper packing makes a huge difference, so I’m glad you asked! In fact we’ve got a whole page with packing instructions and tips here. Make sure you read all the details! In general, you should pack your collection in the smallest box possible (while protecting any fragile items!) Each box needs to weigh less than 50 pounds and should be no larger than 18” x 18” x 24”. Shipping rates sky rocket if the boxes are bigger, or heavier than this so we won’t accept boxes outside these sizes. Remember if you need more space, simply place two orders and send your collection in two boxes 😊

What if my order does not fit in one box?

No problem! If your selling items in bulk or with our variable pricing process, simply place one order no matter how many boxes you have.

For individually priced items, you'll need to place one order per box. However you'll need to ensure you are using the right boxes. For stuffed animals we'll issue 1 label per 140 pieces. For Barbies, they must be shipped in well packed 18x18x24 boxes to qualify for multiple labels. Please review our packing instructions for further details.

I don't want to ship my collection. Can I drop it off?

Absolutely! (For some items, we'll even pay a little more if you drop your collection off; learn about drop-off bonuses here.) Please create an order by adding items to your cart then checking out. To help us process your collection efficiently, if you're selling individually priced items, place one order per box you plan to deliver. Once you’ve created your order, contact us to arrange a drop-off appointment. We love getting to meet you at these drop-offs 😊

What happens if my items arrive damaged?

If your items are damaged in shipping, we will be unable to purchase them. If you use our prepaid shipping labels, they do not include insurance and we are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged in transit.

Pricing FAQs

How much will you pay for my collection?

For individually or bulk priced items, all our buy prices are posted on the website so that as you add items to your cart, you can see a running total. Due to the constantly changing collectibles market and the large variety of items we buy, there's a small chance we’ll need to adjust our price. In this case adjustments will be made BEFORE you ship your collection so you can decide if you’d like to move forward. Once we confirm your order the prices are locked in. Just be sure to ship within 14 days to keep your price lock.

How will I be paid?

We will issue payment either via check, or by issuing a store credit to our collectibles store, you get to choose. If you select store credit, we'll add 20% to your final payment.

Why are some items priced at zero dollars and what about the items priced at $999.99?

If our buy price is $0.00 we are not currently buying that item. We may decide to purchase it again in the future, if that happens, we’ll increase our buy price.

For bulk and variable pricing orders, we don't know what you'll be sending, so we use the $999.99 as a placeholder. In all cases where our buy prices are not posted, they'll be determined once we receive your order. Learn more about variable pricing here.

Do you take any deductions from the posted buy prices?

All our buy prices are for items in mint condition. For many items this includes the original packaging in mint condition. If your collection arrives damaged or with shelfware, we will be unable to pay the posted buy prices. For some brands, we will still purchase damaged or worn items, for others we will not be able to pay anything. We break down all our condition requirements here. You can also navigate to the brand you are looking to sell for brand specific details.

How are your prices determined?

Our prices are based on our current inventory levels, recent selling prices, and the demand for each item. Because the collectible market is constantly changing, our prices change often. (Don’t worry, once we confirm your order, your prices are locked in for 14 days.)

What if I don't like your buy prices?

For Variable Pricing: We try to be as up front and clear about our pricing as possible so that you have a great selling experience. In the unlikely event you choose not to sell your items, you would be responsible for the cost of shipping both directions. Once we receive payment for shipping, we will return your items to you.

If you'd like your items returned, we'll pack them carefully, however we are not responsible for items lost or broken during transit.

Due to space limitations, we can only hold items for 4 weeks from the day we send our buy prices to you. Any items left after 4 weeks will be disposed of.

Do you always pay the prices posted on your website?

We do our best to keep our buy prices as accurate as possible. Occasionally, we will need to adjust our buy prices. If this happens, we’ll contact you after your order is placed and BEFORE you ship your collection with an updated price. This means you can decide if you’d still like to sell at the adjusted price. That price is then locked in as long as you ship within 14 days, even if the buy prices on our website change.

Deductions from the posted buy prices will be taken for items that do not arrive in mint condition. Please read each brand page carefully and see FAQ “Do you take any deductions from the posted buy prices?”
